SEATTLE (June 8, 2015) – Seattle based law firm Ryan, Swanson & Cleveland, PLLC announces Amy Royalty has joined the firm as a Member in the firm’s Immigration Group. Amy started at the firm on June 8, after many years at MacDonald, Hoague & Bayless.
For over 10 years, Amy has helped companies of all sizes bring workers to the United States on a temporary and permanent basis. She has successfully prepared nonimmigrant and immigrant visa applications for professionals, treaty traders and investors, multinational managers, intracompany transferees, researchers, entertainers and skilled workers; with particular experience working with companies in the high-tech industry. Amy also assists individuals in sponsoring their family members to come to the United States.
“Amy’s professional and personal accomplishments in the community, along with her corporate immigration experience make her an excellent fit for Ryan Swanson,” said Managing Director Robert Curran. “As we plan for the future of the firm, Amy will be a valuable asset to not only the Immigration Group, but to our colleagues and clients.”
Amy graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and French, and received her law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2001. Prior to attending law school, Amy studied in Paris, France at the Institute of Political Studies and is proficient in French. Amy also worked in Washington, D.C. as a legislative aide to a U.S. Congressman and as the Development Director for a non-profit refugee advocacy organization. Outside of work, Amy is active in community affairs and has been a volunteer for the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project for the past 11 years.
