NLRB Requires New Workplace Postings on Employees’ Rights to Organize as of November 14, 2011
The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) has adopted a rule requiring all private employers to post workplace notices informing employees of their right to form and join unions, effective November 14, 2011. The posters, which inform employees of their rights under the National Labor Relations Act and include their right to bargain collectively through a union and to take collective action to improve their working conditions, will be available on the NLRB website by November 1, 2011. Employers who post employee information on company intranet sites are also covered. For more information on these requirements and specifics about the Act, visit the NLRB website.
