Beginning January 1, 2020, Washington employees will be able to collect wage replacement benefits from the state when they take qualifying family and medical leave under Washington’s Paid Family and Medical Leave Act (PFMLA). In this session, Shannon will provide an overview of the PFMLA and practical advice on how to prepare your company for the next phase of its implementation, including tips on how the PFMLA interacts with existing PTO and paid sick leave policies and the federal Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA).
