Abtin Bahador

Abtin advises employers and beneficiaries on a wide range of business immigration matters, including travel, visa renewals, short- and long-term immigration strategies, and compliance with federal laws. His practice includes preparing petitions for individuals of extraordinary ability and multinational managers (EB-1), as well as guiding clients through all stages of the PERM Labor Certification process (EB-2 and EB-3), from initial analysis and recruitment through filing and audit response for professional, non-professional, and Schedule A positions. He also regularly prepares nonimmigrant applications for adjudication before USCIS, CBP, and U.S. consulates.

He particularly enjoys working with entrepreneurs to develop effective strategies for entering the U.S. market through the E-1 Treaty Trader and E-2 Treaty Investor visa options.

Abtin has deep experience in healthcare immigration and works closely with hospitals, clinics, and healthcare professionals to address their immigration needs. His experience includes advising on J-1 waivers across multiple states for physicians serving underserved rural communities, securing Schedule A petitions for registered nurses, and preparing TN (USMCA) petitions for healthcare workers. He also has significant experience handling PERM labor certifications and merit-based permanent residence applications (EB-1 and EB-2) for physicians, including Physician National Interest Waivers for those committed to serving underserved populations.

Before joining Ryan Swanson, Abtin represented corporate clients at a business immigration firm, including technology companies, Fortune 500 companies, and one of the largest healthcare providers in the United States.
