Abtin is an Associate at Ryan Swanson, working primarily in the firm’s Immigration practice group.

Abtin’s experience includes advising employers and beneficiaries on issues such as travel, visa renewals, short and long-term strategies, and compliance with federal laws. He has prepared petitions for individuals of extraordinary ability and multinational managers (EB-1), as well as navigating all stages of the PERM Labor Certification process (EB-2 and EB-3) from initial analysis, recruitment, filing, and audit response for professional, non-professional, and Schedule A positions. He also has extensive knowledge in preparing non-immigrant applications for adjudication with USCIS, CBP, and consulates.

In particular, Abtin enjoys working with entrepreneurs to strategize how to access the U.S. market using the E-1 Treaty Trader and E-2 Treaty Investor visa options.

Abtin previously spent 5 years serving corporate clients at a business immigration firm including technology companies, Fortune 500 companies, and one of the largest healthcare providers in the U.S.

In his free time, you will find Abtin spending too much time on his fantasy hockey team, and teaming up with his wife to keep random objects out of his baby’s mouth.
