Matthew is an Associate at Ryan Swanson, working primarily within the firm’s Litigation and Corporate Bankruptcy, Receivership & Finance groups. He joined Ryan Swanson in May 2022 upon graduating from law school in December 2021.
Matthew maintains a broad, diversified commercial and civil litigation practice, ranging from complex bankruptcies and receivership actions to real property and trust and estate disputes. He also possesses experience resolving cases through mediation and arbitration.
Matthew prioritizes the creation of strong relationships with his clients, and seeks to present complicated legal concepts in straightforward, commonsense ways. He believes in collaborative representation wherein his clients help determine logical solutions throughout each step of their representation.
Outside of work, Matthew enjoys exploring the local coffee scene in Seattle, reading presidential biographies, and taking long walks with his dog, Nala. While pursuing his undergraduate degree, he served as a student manager for Men’s Basketball at the University of Washington. As a native of Los Angeles, California, Matthew is an avid supporter of the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Dodgers. However, he is very proud to call Seattle his home away from home.
