Shanece M. Dedeaux



Shanece is an Associate at Ryan Swanson, working primarily in the Litigation group. She worked as a summer associate with Ryan Swanson in 2019, until returning to finish law school at Seattle University. While in law school, Shanece served as Vice President of the Legal Advocates Empowering Youth. A group that went into impoverished neighborhoods and spoke to youth about the law. She also served as the Attorney General for the Western Region of the National Black Law Students Association. Over the three years in law school, Shanece represented immigrants seeking asylum and youth facing criminal prosecution in the immigration and youth advocacy clinics at Seattle University.

Shanece was also the recipient of multiple academic awards, including CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in Contracts and Negotiations, and two King County Bar Scholar awards.

Prior to attending law school, Shanece worked in social services and volunteered as an advocate for AmeriCorps.


Outside of work, Shanece enjoys watching sports, going to the movie theatre, and spending time with her family and friends.
