SEATTLE (May 2020) – Ryan, Swanson & Cleveland, PLLC is pleased to announce that Brian L. Lewis was admitted to the American College of Real Estate Lawyers (ACREL) class of 2020.
The American College of Real Estate Lawyers is the premier organization of U.S. real estate lawyers. ACREL’s distinguished, nationally-known lawyers have been elected to fellowship for their outstanding legal ability, experience and high standards of professional and ethical conduct in the practice of real estate law. Being invited into the American College of Real Estate Lawyers is a personal and professional achievement for any real estate lawyer. “It’s a great honor. There are a lot of people who have done a lot for my career who are ACREL members and it’s exciting to be invited into their circle. It’s rewarding and makes me feel like a lot of hard work was worth it,” said Lewis.
Lewis anticipates his involvement with ACREL will present unique opportunities in the years to come, offering exposure to what is going on in the real estate field on a global and national level. “I’m looking forward to learning about some of the more sophisticated types of work that we don’t necessarily see in Seattle on a daily basis,” Lewis added. “The first couple years I plan to listen and learn. In terms of contributions I can make, I hope I can bring some practical experience. I’ve been fortunate to be involved with many different types of projects and can bring a diverse set of experiences to the college. As practices go in Seattle, I’ve had a good run of fun and interesting projects.”
Brian is a member of Ryan Swanson’s Executive Committee and is the chair of Ryan Swanson’s Real Estate, Development, and Finance Group. ACREL was founded in 1978 to promote high standards and ethics for real estate lawyers, as well as educate its members on developments and issues within the real estate practice.
