Gretchen is a skilled litigator, knowledgeable trial lawyer, and experienced appellate attorney dedicated to representing businesses and individuals in a wide range of disputes. Her extensive courtroom experience includes trying several cases to jury verdict. Gretchen believes the best attorneys are the ones who can simplify complex issues and present them in compelling, but understandable ways to judges and jurors. Gretchen’s ability to do this in her writing and oration has led to excellent results for her clients.

COMMERCIAL LITIGATION
Gretchen represents businesses and individuals in a wide range of commercial disputes, including those involving breach of contract, partnership disputes, tortious interference, employment disputes, product liability, medical malpractice defense, and professional negligence. Gretchen also serves as national counsel for clients, managing complex litigation happening concurrently across multiple jurisdictions.
TRUST AND ESTATE LITIGATION
Gretchen represents individuals both in their individual and fiduciary capacities in trust and estate litigation. Gretchen understands the complicated dynamics, both legally and personally, that often exists in these disputes and helps clients navigate the process through resolution or trial.
APPEALS
Gretchen is a seasoned appellate attorney with success in all divisions of the Washington Court of Appeals, the Washington Supreme Court, and the Ninth Circuit.
HONORS & AWARDS
Gretchen grew up in Hillsboro, Oregon and relocated to Washington in 2006 for undergrad and law school. While attending law school, Gretchen was a Lead Article Editor for the SU Law Review and served as a judicial extern for Judge Leighton in the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington in Tacoma. She has served as an adjunct professor teaching legal skills courses at Seattle University School of Law.
Gretchen is a life-long sports fan, a committed Mariners supporter, and a Seahawks season ticket holder. During college, she played fast-pitch softball and earned several honors, including being named an All-American infielder, PLU Woman of the Year in Sports, Academic All-American, and Northwest Conference Player of the Year in her sophomore and junior seasons. Gretchen and her husband live in Snoqualmie with their three children and spend most weekends enjoying the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest while backpacking, biking or golfing.
