Alaina Slater

Alaina is a litigation paralegal at Ryan Swanson. She assists the litigation department by organizing documents, coordinating databases, performing research, analyzing information, writing briefs and preparing for trial.

Before relocating to Seattle, Alaina worked for Snell & Wilmer, LLP in Orange County, California. At Snell & Wilmer she worked with the product liability practice group and managed an active case load of both state and federal cases, including cases for one of the firm’s top clients, a major automotive manufacturer. Alaina participated in six trials in four different states, all resulting in favorable verdicts for her clients. She was responsible for the creation of thousands of trial exhibits and the management of exhibits during the imaging process and trial. Alaina has experience using Trial Director, Microsoft Office and Concordance.

Prior to Snell & Wilmer, Alaina was an extern with Simburg, Ketter, Sheppard & Purdy in Seattle, where she drafted trademark applications and created trademark dockets for client trademark registrations and applications, both domestic and foreign. She gained familiarity with trademark processes and was responsible for drafting letters to clients regarding case updates and transmittal letters. She additionally reviewed closed cases for original documents to return to clients.
