Matthew J. Reinikka

Matt Reinikka is an associate at Ryan Swanson, where he practices in the firm’s Real Estate, Development & Finance and Business Groups. He represents a diverse range of clients in commercial real estate matters, including lenders, developers, businesses, private investors, nonprofit organizations, and public entities. His practice includes acquisitions and dispositions, commercial leasing, development, financing, common interest communities, and corporate structuring and governance. Matt advises clients through every stage of a transaction, from initial planning to negotiation, closing, and ongoing asset management.

Matt serves as real estate counsel to a publicly traded bank in connection with its multi-hundred-property portfolio throughout the Pacific Northwest and represents one of the nation’s largest publicly traded homebuilders in land acquisitions and the development of common interest and planned communities across Washington and Oregon. He regularly advises local and national landlords and tenants on commercial leasing matters involving office, retail, industrial, and mixed-use properties, as well as clients navigating complex title, easement, and development issues. His experience also includes representing lenders and borrowers in commercial real estate financings, serving as local counsel in the sale of a historic downtown Seattle hotel, and assisting a major municipality with title analysis and ground lease negotiations for a federally sponsored infrastructure project. Matt also maintains an active pro bono practice, advising nonprofit organizations on commercial real estate transactions and corporate governance matters.
