SEATTLE (September 9, 2024) – Seattle-based law firm Ryan, Swanson & Cleveland, PLLC announces Sophie Lantz and Schuyler Peters have joined the firm as associates.
Lantz and Peters each worked as a summer associate with Ryan Swanson in 2023.
Lantz received her J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law and her B.A. from the San Diego State University. During law school, she worked at the Federal Low Income Tax Clinic and traveled to Hooper Bay, Alaska, as part of the Rural Alaskan Tax Program to assist Alaska Natives with tax filings. Lantz also served on the board of the Women’s Law Caucus and worked as a Hazelton Fellow. In her final year, she clerked at the Federal Trade Commission’s Northwest regional office, gaining experience in antitrust and consumer protection.
Peters received her J.D. from Seattle University School of Law and her B.A. from Gonzaga University. While in school, she served as the Executive Research and Training Editor of the Seattle University Law Review and President of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Board. Additionally, Peters was a student attorney at the Seattle University Civil Rights Clinic, a summer extern at the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office in the Collaborative Justice Unit, and an extern in Associate Chief Justice Charles W. Johnson’s chambers at the Washington Supreme Court. She received two CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in Contracts and Privacy Law.
