The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (“USCBP”) recently made two enhancements to its system that we think you should be aware of:
- Travelers into the U.S. can apply and pay for a provisional Form I-94 online prior to arriving at a land Port of Entry which will expedite entry. The traveler provides their biographic and travel information and pays the $6 fee online up to 7 days prior to entry. If the traveler does not enter within 7 days, they have to reapply and pay another $6. For more details, visit https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov.
- The new USCBP I-94 website includes a more complete travel history for the last five years.
