New Version of Form I-9 Released Today, July 17

USCIS issued a new Form I-9 for Employment Eligibility Verification today, July 17, which must be used beginning September 18, 2017. The new I-9 form is available at https://www.uscis.gov/i-9. We recommend that employers start using the new I-9 form at this time to ensure correct use of the form by September 18, when it becomes mandatory.

Employers must continue to follow existing I-9 storage and retention rules for any previously completed I-9 forms.
