SEATTLE (March 14, 2022) – Seattle-based law firm Ryan, Swanson & Cleveland, PLLC announces John P. Halski has joined the firm as an of counsel in the firm’s Business, Licensing & Technology and Trademarks & Intellectual Property groups.
John’s practice includes a full range of brand management services, from trademark clearance to global portfolio maintenance. He works with companies of all sizes to create, build, maintain and protect their intellectual property, including trademarks, trade dress, copyrights, and trade secrets. He has also handled the registration of non-traditional trademarks, such as color marks, and counseled clients on brand enforcement in virtual spaces and the “fan fiction” community. John regularly advises nonprofit and advocacy-driven organizations on their unique intellectual property challenges, and he is a published author on the subject of trademark rights in the political space.

John graduated from Truman State University in 2001 and received his Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School in 2006.
